Centre Street Church, Calgary, AB is seeking several Campus Host/Custodians to join us on this exciting journey God has us on.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• General cleaning duties including; dusting, cleaning, floor care, cleaning of restrooms
• Provide basic security by controlling building access by knowing who is supposed to be in the building
• Help training ministry leaders/volunteers how to setup/takedown furniture and equipment in rooms as bookings require and assist when required
• Fix small maintenance problems. Arrange repair for larger issues.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Respond to security calls, emergencies, and assisting of individuals and ministry areas
• Perform other duties as required
• Building lock-up and setting of alarms

Core Skills/Experience:

• Understands and takes pride in caring for CSC facilities and contributes to ministry effectiveness.
• Demonstrates good communication, relational and organizational abilities.
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow instructions well.
• An aptitude to learn mid-level technical equipment and train others to use it.
• Must be a team player, able to work unsupervised and adapt to an ever-changing environment
• Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust.
• Requires physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
• Work environment involves daily tasks, process & structure.
• Requires a basic understanding of safety and chemical standards and procedures.
• Great work ethic, punctuality and reliability are essential in this role.
• Must have a reliable means of transportation to CSC facilities.

NOTE: Work flexibility is mandatory for this position. The successful candidate must be able to work evenings and weekends at any of our CSC locations (Airdrie, Bearspaw, Bridgeland, Central and South).
