    GINGRICH, Della Viola Beisel

    January 31, 2024

GINGRICH, Della Viola Beisel (wife of Rev. Virgil Gingrich, EMCC Ordained Minister)

Della Viola Beisel Gingrich passed peacefully from this life into the presence of God on January 25, 2024.

Born in Elmira, Ontario, her 91 years were rich in life lived in Canada but also in Japan and Kenya. With her business training she was a respected office administrator, bookkeeper, and college librarian, and she served people as a partner with her husband, Virgil, in Christian ministry. She was a talented musician, a gracious hostess, and highly gifted in the art of “listening”. Many people found reason to confide in her and received deep and sincere empathy and comfort in return. Having lived with the ravages of dementia for the last ten years, her family has grieved her loss for some time and are grateful that she has been released from this mental struggle to live fully now in the glory that God, through Jesus Christ, has prepared for her.

Her family is so very grateful for the cherished blessing of knowing and loving her and being known and loved by her. She is survived by her precious husband, Virgil, to whom she was married for over 71 years; her daughter Sharon Rozeluk (Peter), and her son Fred Gingrich (Heather); her grandchildren Tabitha Edgar (Jason), Jonathan Rozeluk, Lydia Rozeluk (Rob Butler), Brandon Gingrich, and Nathan Gingrich; her great-grandchildren Chara Edgar, Christopher Edgar, and Rico Gingrich. Della has had a profound effect on each member of the family, her influence reaching into the future, and she is deeply missed. She was the greatest of cheerleaders, championing our efforts, celebrating our successes, and supporting our disappointments. She taught us to love God and each other.

There will be no visitation at this time. A memorial service and interment will be scheduled at a later date. Should you wish to make a donation in her memory, we would urge you to consider donating to Mission Services of London or Evergreen Christian Ministries.
