    CHIRIAC, Aurel 'Lelu'

    December 11, 2020

    CHIRIAC, Aurel (Lelu)
    December 8, 2020

Aurel (Lelu) Chiriac went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at 67 years old. He was the beloved husband of Eugenia Chiriac, the loving father of Larisa Livia Toma and Ramona Prem, a wonderful grandfather to Stefan Robert Prem, Clarisa Naomi Toma, Hanah Damaris Prem, David Maximus Prem, and the father-in-law of Dorel Stefan Prem and Mircea Toma*.
*Mircea Toma is an Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada (EMCC) Ordained Minister and Senior Pastor of Romanian Baptist Church of Toronto.

Lelu was a deacon in the Romanian Baptist Church of Chicago and a frequent visitor of the Romanian Baptist Church of Toronto where his son-in-law, Mircea Toma, is the pastor.

Lelu was dedicated to Jesus Christ and His Church. He came to faith under the communist regime in Romania, ready to pay any cost for following Jesus, and he was known by non-believers as a man of integrity in his faith.

Lelu had a warm heart towards other people, an always-present smile on his face and a word of encouragement for all the people around him. He used to share the Gospel and his knowledge of the Bible with anybody with whom he had the opportunity.

He loved his family deeply and he invested himself a lot in his grandchildren, encouraging them to follow Jesus.

Lelu was generous, energetic, a catalyst in the church and family, and a motivator. He loved nature and travelling, and he made every effort to visit new places and countries.

We thank God for the blessing that Lelu was for our family and the church he served in. We thank God for using Lelu in expanding His Kingdom, in supporting His servants, especially Pastor Mircea Toma, and making His Gospel shine in the Romanian diaspora in Chicago.

    The family appreciates your prayers.
