The Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada is looking for a Communications and Marketing Manager.
Position Status: Part-Time (20-24 hours per week)
Immediate Supervisor: EMCC President or designate.
Position Start Date: August 2023
Compensation Package: Compensation will be in accordance with EMCC salary guidelines. Vacation, pension, and health benefits will be in keeping with HR policies.
Position Summary
The Communications & Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing EMCC internal and external communications, including our EMCC resources. This role includes oversight of the Communications Projects Coordinator and Communications Editor.
Position Expectations
The Communications & Marketing Manager is expected to operate in a manner congruent with the EMCC National Team. This includes:
- Understanding and living a lifestyle reflective of the ways of Jesus.
- Adhering to the standards of the EMCC Employee Handbook.
Position Qualifications
- Familiar with EMCC language and ethos.
- Experience and training in strategic communication planning and execution.
- Experience in communication branding, marketing, management, and resourcing.
- Experience in church and/or non-profit world.
- Possess strong relational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Able to work remotely on a team; organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of integrity, servant-heart, and efficient, flexible work ethic.
- Base level sense on critical issues management and public relations.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Dropbox, Constant Contact (helpful).
Position Responsibilities
- Provide overall direction to our EMCC’s communications and marketing strategy.
- Provide oversight and management to our Enrich Resources Center, to our online EMCC Connected events and our website.
- Supervise the Marketing & Communications Coordinator and Communications Editor.
- Assign or assume tasks related to external or internal communication in cooperation with the National Team.
- Provide input on public relations matters from a communication perspective.
- Building EMCC branding and positioning
- Overing corporate website redesign project to completion
- Building EMCC branding and positioning
- Overseeing social media marketing strategy and content marketing
- Coordinating communications/marketing projects from start to finish.
- Managing department budgeting including all expenditures for campaigns and research.
