Overflowing Thanks

Completion of Homes for Haiti, Phase 3, brings stability to the community of Benoit.

Over the span of 7 years, following the 2010 Earthquake, EMCC people responded generously to assist L’Association des Eglises Missionnaires (the AEM) to reach out to internally displaced people. In the end, we saw 51 homes constructed, impacting communities from the North-East to the South-West. With each of the three phases, we saw an increase of the Haitian-work-force as well, so that this last phase was entirely Haitian-led and Haitian-delivered. Families have been reconnected, orphaned kids adopted, businesses have been started, but most of all, God’s goodness and transformation has been experienced. Some have begun following Jesus for the first time, leaving fear and discovering God’s love.

Thank you for joining with hundreds of individuals and numerous EMCC churches who have walked with our International Partners and Global workers, participating in sharing God’s blessing around the world with more and more people.

"All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God." 2 Corinthians 4:15 (NIV)

When we live in the Way of Jesus, we are those vessels who bring light and grace and goodness, which causes thanksgiving to overflow! Who’s thankful? I trust you are. Let’s join in celebrating with people who’ve received God’s love in action.

Equipping Teachers in Farming God’s Way Conservation Agriculture Ethiopia

Seed the training of Bible School Teachers in Conservation Agriculture for their benefit, and for those they teach and disciple.

  • EMCC World Partners workers Dan & Kerry Wiens, in partnership with SIM Ethiopia, have developed Farming God’s Way training in the Amharic language, starting in 2017. EMCC World Partners is working within the Amharic Bible Schools (ABS) which are a part of the Ethiopia Kale Heywott Church to equip their rural teachers in Farming God's Way.
  • The goal is to supplement their meagre income through stronger crop yields so that they can provide adequately for their families.
  • Furthermore, these teachers can become future trainers as they embed the Farming God’s Way material into the bible school curriculum.

GOAL: $27,000 over 5 years (2017-2022)

Inundo (“overflow” in Latin) is an experiential model farm developed by Dan & Kerry Wiens, where they and their team will share their whole lives, transformed by the Good News, with a growing network of implementers and trainers. They will be able to increase the network members’ influence as they implement and pass on to others what the Inundo team are modelling in their life with Jesus and in the implementation of Farming God’s Way. The measurement of their success will be a growing network of African influencers, enabling an overflow of abundant living across the continent.
