Discipleship and Worship Director (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Status: This position has the option of being a full-time or part-time position. There are two ministries—Discipleship and Worship. A part time position could be one of either ministries or the fulltime position combines both.

Church Description: Faith Church, a member of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada, has been part of the Kitchener - Waterloo - Cambridge community for 65 years. We want to become a united church of nations boldly reaching the Waterloo Region in the power of the Holy Spirit!

Position Description: Provide leadership for discipleship and worship ministry.

Qualifications:

A suitable applicant should exhibit:

• A personal, passionate relationship with God which is growing and being shared with others.

• Share our passions of evangelism, unity in Christ and seeking to be Spirit-empowered.

• A musical gifting for worship leading.

• Excellent in organizational and administrative tasks.

• Theological training is preferred (youth, theology, church ministry), or are open to pursuingsupplementary education for ministry excellence.

• Preference given to individuals with experience and understanding of our Canadian multicultural demographic.

Ministry of Youth Discipleship

Be involved with the Jr. & Sr. High students (gr. 6-12) by:

• Discipling the youth leaders and leading alongside them.

• Overseeing the teaching and overall program.

• Recruiting and training youth leaders to help disciple students.

• Encouraging and equipping parents to biblically raise their children.

Ministry of Group Discipleship

Be directly involved with the Lead Pastor in maturing the church by:

•Providing leadership training for small group ministry.

•Ability to organize and integrate people into small groups based on location, interest and needs.

•Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.

•Supporting volunteer leaders: Young Adult’s, Men’s and Women’s, Senior’s Ministry, Bible Studyleaders and providing leadership if needed.

•Assisting in organizing with the Lead Pastor in occasional church-wide events for discipleship (eg,Prayer events, workshops/seminars).

Ministry of Worship

• Regularly leading the worship teams on Sunday mornings.

• Strategically planning the Sunday morning worship services alongside the Lead Pastor.

• Scheduling the worship teams / bands for Sunday morning and other special worship events.

• Recruiting, equipping and training leaders for the Sunday morning services in the areas of music,

• Supervising the “Planning Center” database to plan the services, coordinate ministry assignments, and check-in or register members.

• Proficient with social media for communication, discipleship/encouraging people throughout theweek, and showcasing highlights of our services or spiritual growth.

• Ability to update, maintain, and improve our church’s website regularly.

• Providing input into Faith’s tech ministries to create engaging and edifying online services.
