The Way of Jesus is a discipleship and mentoring resource built for one purpose: to help ordinary believers become intentional followers of Christ and then help others do the same.
Adapted from a framework authored and taught within the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada (EMCC) by Rev. (Dr.) Phil Delsaut, former President of the EMCC, and faithfully continued by subsequent presidents and Regional Ministers, this series was developed into a complete discipleship and mentoring manual by Dr. Deborah Olukoju and Dr. Sunday Akin Olukoju.
Each volume takes a mentor and disciple through one dimension of what it means to follow Jesus:
Marker One: His Life, understanding the pattern Jesus set for us to walk in
Marker Two: His Mission, discovering why we are here and who we are sent to
Marker Three: His Character, being shaped into the likeness of Christ
Marker Four: His Love, learning to love as Jesus loved
Marker Five: His Teachings, a guide through the Sermon on the Mount
Marker Six: His Disciplers, learning from those who walked with Jesus
Marker Seven: His Community, living as part of a people on mission together
This is not a book to read alone. It is designed as a guided mentoring tool, meant to be walked through session by session, with a discipler and a disciple sitting across from one another and asking the same question every follower of Jesus must ask:
Is His life being formed in me?
