In even years, we invite our member church credentialed and lay leaders to attend our Regional Gatherings in Alberta and Ontario. In odd years, we gather in just one location for General Assembly.  

Every year, we host provincial retreats for our EMCC leaders & their spouses.

  • General Assembly will take place from April 29th - May 1st, 2027.

    It will be held at Bethany Community Church in St. Catharines, ON.

We are genuinely excited to invite you into a renewed and reimagined season of EMCC Leader Retreats this fall.

This year, both the format and dates of the retreats will look different from what has traditionally been done in the past—and we believe these changes will create space for something deeply meaningful within our EMCC family.

What’s Changing?

Rather than simply gathering for group sessions, we are intentionally designing these two-day retreats as immersive experiences of connection, renewal, discernment, and shared vision.

Together, we’ll create space to listen to the Holy Spirit, encourage one another, pray together, and dream together about what God may desire to do among us as we move toward the EMCC’s 2033 Vision.

A unique highlight of this year’s retreats will be a special community-building experience you won’t want to miss. The retreats will also include prayer walking, ministry time, communal reflection, and collaborative dreaming.

Why change?

Our hope is that these moments will strengthen relationships across our denomination and deepen our sense of shared calling and mission.

We will also spend focused time exploring what it means to lead with a teachable spirit—cultivating humility, openness, attentiveness, and responsiveness to both the Holy Spirit and one another. We believe this posture is essential for the season God is leading us into together.

We encourage you to begin praying with anticipation for what God may do in and through these gatherings.

Retreat Dates & Locations:

Our retreats are for all EMCC leaders.

Spouses are always welcome to participate in EMCC Leader Retreats.

We are pleased to share that our Global Workers and retired EMCC credential holders are invited to attend at no registration cost.

EMCC Leader Retreats are not simply events to attend; they are opportunities to reconnect, be refreshed, and seek God together as a family of leaders.
