INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS FUND #341:
Inundo Developmental Model and Training Farm

TARGET:
$600,000 (April 2025 - March 2028)

DESCRIPTION:
Food security levels in South Africa are at their lowest point in over a decade with child hunger increasing. It is estimated that one in four children are growth stunted due to inadequate nutrition. The Inundo Model Farm (inundo.org), in outer west Durban, seeks to provide training to alleviate food insecurity as well as introduce people to God’s work in bringing restoration in the spheres of agriculture and land stewardship. Inundo (“overflow”) is an experiential model farm that acts as a venue for learning, collaboration, and growth. The main strategic focus of the farm is training trainers.

Dan and Kerry Wiens founded Inundo in 2019 as a response to hunger and food insecurity.  They are developing networks of leaders that are responding to the growing food crisis all over the continent of Africa. The Wiens desire to see people begin to steward Africa’s abundance using the Farming God’s Way tool (Farming God’s Way). Inundo hosts trainings on the property, works with aspiring trainers, develops youth interns, operates a functional vegetable farm, and is open for local and international visitors.

Funds donated to the Inundo IPF go towards training, leadership empowerment, operations, and property development. The latest phase in the development of Inundo infrastructure is to build a training classroom, guesthouse and intern accommodation.
