    WANG, Li-Hsing

    May 26, 2021

WANG, Li-Hsing, (Mother of Rev. Paul Wang, EMCC Ordained Minister)
    January 11, 1953 - March 15, 2021

Passing into God's presence at Mackenzie Health Long Term Home at the age of 68, Li-Hsing (a.k.a. Lise) was the beloved wife to Neilson Pan-Shyr Wang for 43 years, and also loving mom to Rev. Paul Wang* and Mary, mother-in-law to Andrew and May, and grandmother to Esther Lee, Josiah Wang, Ethan Lee and Jeremiah Wang.
*Rev. Paul Wang is the Executive and Associate Pastor of Triumph Chinese Evangelical Missionary Church in Toronto.

Li-Hsing Wang (a.k.a. Lise) was born on January 11, 1953, in Tainan, Taiwan. Lise first heard about Christianity when she was in secondary school and came to know Christ when she was in university, which also firmed up her knowledge of the Bible.

Lise married Neilson Pan-Shyr Wang in March 1978 and have two children (Mary and Paul) together. Not long after they were born, Mary and Paul were both dedicated to the Lord such that they can learn to live a Godly life. Lise had always honoured her mother and she similarly honoured her mother-in-law and kept a good relationship with her.

From 1994 to 2009, because of the need to look after her elderly mother and her children, she travelled back-and-forth between Canada and Taiwan frequently.

Lise passionately served in various Churches when she lived in Taiwan, Waterloo, Windsor, and Toronto. She enjoyed sharing the gospel and bringing people to Christ. It was full of God’s presence, full of joy.

In recent years Lise started suffering from many chronic diseases. When she was still able to speak, she would constantly pray and bless brothers and sisters. Though with a fragile body, she had experienced God’s grace abundantly throughout her life.

In September 2019, Lise was admitted into Long Term Care home and was taken back to the heavenly home on May 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. There is no more suffering, and she will have forever peace. One day we will all reunite in heaven!

Owing to COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the Ontario government, the maximum number of people allowed in a funeral is ten. Except for the immediate family members and closest relatives, all brothers and sisters, relatives and friends of the family are requested to take part virtually on Friday, June 5th at 9:30 am by clicking here.

Those who wish to remember Li-Hsing Wang (a.k.a. Lise Wang) with a donation, may do so to Triumph Chinese Evangelical Missionary Church by clicking here.
