    RAHN, Dolores Pearl

    March 23, 1935 – January 3, 2023

    Dolores Pearl Besler was born March 23rd, 1935 in Weyburn, Saskatchewan to Adolph and Pauline (Martin) Besler. She was the youngest of seven children, with four sisters and two brothers. She was predeceased by her parents and four sisters, Alma, Irene, Lydia, Esther, and one brother, Gordon. One brother Walter (Eileen) is still living in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. She grew up on the family farm, west of Weyburn. She had fond memories of these years playing with her many pets and siblings.

    She graduated from Weyburn College in 1952. She then attended Hillcrest Bible School in Medicine Hat, Alberta and graduated in 1956. She met Clifford Rahn* and they were married on August 29th, 1958 in the Evangelical Church in Weyburn. They lived in Vancouver, BC for two years and then moved to Portland, Oregon, where Cliff attended Cascade College to begin his studies for his call to the Ministry. During these years, Dolores worked at St. Vincent's Hospital. They returned to Cascade and Cliff was a pastor in Leader, Saskatchewan, where they served for three years. They also served for three years in Castor, Alberta, four years in Vulcan, Alberta, and four years in Didsbury, Alberta in the Evangelical Churches.

    Cliff passed away from cancer in June 2011. Dolores remained in Didsbury, Alberta until her passing away. She made many friends and dedicated her life to serving the Lord for her remaining years on earth. She leaves to mourn her sons, Carl (Brenda) Calvin (Cindy) grandsons, Zach, Jo, Drew and Lucas. They were all the greatest gifts God gave her in this life. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023 at Zion Evangelical Missionary Church, Didsbury, Alberta.
