    Cornelia ‘Corrie’ (Tinholt) Van Oostveen of Listowel, stepped peacefully and unexpectedly into heaven on Friday, October 23, 2020 at the age of 86.

    She was predeceased by her husband Cornelis (Casey), son John, and grandson Alex.

    Corrie was a loving mother to Nell (Doug) Gray of Guelph, Adriana ‘Jane’ (Claran) Martin* of Hanover, Ralph (Kim) Van Oostveen of Lindsay, and Bill Van Oostveen (Rhonda Cherrey) of Palmerston. *Claran Martin is an Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada (EMCC) Regional Minister.

    Cherished grandmother to Karlyn (Vince), Jeremy (Melissa), Danielle (George), Amanda (Dwayne), Breanne (Stuart), Michael, Alyssa, Ava, Nick, and Tim. Loving great-grandmother to 14.

    Corrie is survived by siblings Walter and Henny Tinholt of Moorefield, Arthur John Tinholt and Mary of Waterloo, Adriana and Gordon Klaassen of Drayton, and sisters-in-law Wilma Tinholt of Listowel, Jeanne Tinholt of St Adolphe, and Josie Tinholt of Kitchener. She will be dearly missed by the Van Oostveen family, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

    Predeceased by her parents Johannes and Adriana (Hoogendoorn) Tinholt, and by her siblings Poncio, Bill, John, Willy VanLeeuwen and her husband Dick.

    Corrie was passionate about her family and her Christian faith. Born and raised in the Netherlands, she resided most of her life in Listowel, and was active in the community.

    Visitation will be held at Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church, on Monday, October 26th from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visitors must schedule a time by selecting RSVP under the "Service Details" (below) or by calling the funeral home at 519-291-4840. Everyone attending must wear a mask.

    The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Ralph Van Oostveen and Rev. Claran Martin officiating. Everyone must wear a mask and respect social distancing.

    Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Compassion Canada appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.

    The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Listowel, for their exceptional care of our mother during her stay there.
