    Mrs. Anna Marie Heidinger of Medicine Hat, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the age of 96. She was the beloved wife of Joseph “Joe” Heidinger of 74 years.

    Anna was born on March 23, 1924 and raised on her parents farm near Lemsford, Saskatchewan. She married Joe Heidinger on October 7, 1946. They lived in Redcliff, Alberta for twelve years and then moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta in November 1959.

    Anna leaves to cherish their life together, her husband, Joe Heidinger.

    Anna was a loving mother to daughter, Darlene (Don) Adolf* of Calgary, AB; sons Bruce (Cathie) Heidinger, Glen (Natalie) Heidinger and Randy (Wendy) Heidinger, all of Medicine Hat and beloved grandmother 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Helen and Tony, sister-in-law’s Doreen and Rose and brother-in-law Al.

    She is predeceased by her parents John and Agatha Heck, parents-in-law John and Martha Heidinger, her siblings Joe, Phillip, Daniel, Frank and Jack, sister-in-law’s Annie, Agnes, Viola, Alice, Clara and Pearl along with brother-in-law’s Kasper, Ed, Ruben, Art and Edwin and grandson in-law, Dallas. She will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews.

    Anna was a wonderful homemaker excelling at gardening, sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting; she was a hard worker both at home and outside the home. She volunteered in her spare time canvassing for charity and teaching Sunday School at Hillcrest Church. She especially enjoyed travelling with Joe having many (well documented) wonderful adventures.

    The graveside service was held at the Hillside Cemetery on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 with Rev. Lance Duncalfe officiating.
