    HARDEN, Rev. Timothy

June 9, 2022 by Stephanie Clayton

HARDEN, Rev. Timothy, EMCC Ordained Minister

    November 8, 1951 – June 7, 2022

Timothy Alfred Harden passed peacefully into the Presence of his Saviour, with his wife by his side in the early hours on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the age of 70. He was a faithful husband to Jackie, his wife of nearly 50 years. Proud Dad to Jeff & his wife Eva of Smithers, BC and Jeremy & his wife Tasha of Chilliwack, BC. Loving Grandpa or Papa to Josiah, Liam, Eli, Harmony & Ezra Harden. He was a dear brother to Sandra & Dave Bridle of Guelph, Susan & Dave Falle of Cambridge and Wayne & Linda Harden of Manitoba. Tim was predeceased by his parents, Alf & Marg Harden.

Tim was born in Hespeler, (now Cambridge) and grew up in Kitchener, Chesley Lake & Vineland. After marriage, he had a career in sales & marketing for 20 years, when God called him to Pastoral ministry. He served three congregations, Sauble Christian Fellowship in Sauble Beach, ON, Rosebank BIC in Wilmot Township, ON and Hope Chapel in Collingwood, ON. He retired to Kitchener in 2020.

Tim loved music and sang praises to his Lord from his earliest years. While at Emmanuel Bible College, a quartet was formed to perform at a talent contest. They won and have not stopped singing since! Known as The Watchmen Quartet, Tim just a couple months ago told them they needed to find another tenor as his health would not permit him to continue.

Tim also loved preaching the gospel and serving people. His greatest joy was sharing the good news of Christ and to serve others. He will be greatly missed by his family and many, many friends and colleagues. We rejoice knowing he is fully healed and enjoying his heavenly reward.

Pastor Tim's family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, June 23, 2022 and on Friday, June 24, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, ON 519-749-8467.

The Funeral Service will take place at 1:30 pm on Saturday, June 25 at Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church, 160 Lancaster St. E. Kitchener followed by a reception. Private family interment will take place on Sunday, June 26th at Rosebank Cemetery.

For those that are unable to attend, the service will be live-streamed at https://www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Bethany EMC or Lisaard House would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Click here to view and add to Pastor Tim's online memorial.
