Faith Evangelical Missionary Church (FEMC), Swift Current, SK is a member of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada with local roots going back to 1914. We are searching for a lead pastor and are open to half time up to full time for the right candidate. Reporting to the deacon’s board we are looking for someone to lead us into the next chapter of our ministry as a church. We expect God will lead someone to us who has an authentic relationship with Jesus, carefully handles the Word of God, and desires to take a well-grounded, experienced congregation and grow it, both spiritually and in numbers by attracting new believers who would choose our church to grow in.

The Pastor is a key Leader and Spiritual Director in the church.  He shall be an example to those in his care, exercising prayerful and diligent interpretation of the holy scriptures and oversight of the church, caring for the souls of the flock as one who is to give an account, so in all things he may be approved by God.

FEMC is a warm fellowship of believers with an average Sunday morning attendance of 25-30. We enjoy fun, lively services, despite our aging demographic. We have a small children’s ministry during the Sunday message and have a mid-week Bible Study with an attendance of 6 to 12 people. We support several missionaries as well as a lunch program at a local school. Our congregation is a good solid base to work from and we have solid finances for our size. We own our own building outright and have a contingency fund set aside for hiring a pastor. For more information about our church see our website. 

Swift Current is a city of about 17,000 people in the heart of Southwest Saskatchewan. Located along the TransCanada highway, it is the shopping and social hub between the Alberta border east to Moose Jaw. You can find out more about the city here.
