Building Development Fund Grant

The Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada (EMCC) member churches and affiliated EMCC camps that meet the defined criteria are eligible to apply for a grant from the EMCC Building Development Fund. It is EMCC's intent to come alongside ministries approved for a grant by contributing to their fundraising for capital projects.

Grants from the EMCC BDF are available for projects with a projected value of greater than $5,000, and will not exceed 50% of the total cost of the project up to a maximum of $50,000 unless otherwise approved by the EMCC Board of Directors. Grant dollars will not be dispersed in advance of the project. It is the practice of the EMCC to provide the approved funds as paid invoices are received from the project’s applicant.

Please see the fillable PDF application form for a list of BDF grant qualifications and other information about the requirements of applying for a grant. Please note, applications are adjudicated twice a year. The spring deadline is April 1 and the fall deadline, October 1. It is important to submit your application for adjudication in a timely manner as grant funds are limited.

The EMCC looks forward to working with you as we grow His kingdom here in Canada.

Ontario has mandated as part of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (“AODA”), 2005 that barrier free accessibility is available by January 1, 2025. The AODA aims to identify, remove, and prevent barriers for people with disabilities. For details on the AODA go to: https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/05a11

At this time only the province of Ontario must be compliant by January 1, 2025, therefore fund distribution priority will be given to Ontario churches and camps, but all requests will be considered based on priority and funds available.
