BIO
Joel is one of the Regional Ministers, a role he pioneered in 2004, and since then, has served as First Response in parts of Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. In this capacity, he coaches leaders and inspires communities to follow Jesus on mission. He enjoys much interaction with pastors and church leadership teams in and beyond the EMCC tribe, and serves on the leadership team of Cultivate Network. He was born in Chatham, Ontario, and is a graduate of Emmanuel Bible College (B.Th. 1994). He began serving as a Pastor with Royal City Church (EMCC) in Guelph in its second year of life, and saw God develop it into a vibrant, disciple-making community over his 11 years there. He lives in Guelph with his wife Christie, their 4 wonderful children, and a Tibetan Terrier named Tashiwa. Joel is an aspiring 'foodie', loves spending time with family and friends, playing squash & golf, tackling construction projects, and composing/playing music.
