Developing Leaders
Jesus-following leaders reproduce
Where Do Leaders Come From?
As a community, we believe that leaders must come from leaders. It is never optional to be committed to reproducing leaders, but critical. Or to put it another way, that is, "The fruit of a leader is another leader".
Developing Leaders Like Jesus Did
Here are some guiding statements on leadership development that grow out of the pattern of Jesus working with the first apprentices:
  1. I am modeling growth as a (7Fold Way) Follower of Jesus.
  2. I am responding to the Spirit's leading for my Disciple-Making context (Where? Who?).
  3. I am exercising spiritual discernment in identifying potential leaders. (note the shift from "I" to "We"...)
  4. We are developing others using the 7Fold pattern.
  5. We are mentoring to the Fourth Generation.
  6. We are training, refining & releasing leaders according to their gifts.
  7. We are participating in community on mission together.
